Frequently Asked Questions

How can I get VETCBD for my pet?

VETCBD is found in many dispensaries all over California. Federal and State law require a California state ID and a medical marijuana recommendation to enter a dispensary and purchase products sold there.

I live outside California, can you ship?

At this time, because of current law, we can not ship VETCBD. VETCBD is passionate about education, information, and medical marijuana advocacy. We expect and hope that in the near future laws change such that we can help pets and their owners across the country.

Can I purchase directly from you?

Sorry, no. Federal and State law require a California state ID and a medical marijuana recommendation to enter a dispensary and purchase products sold there.

What is the difference between CBD from marijuana and CBD from hemp?

This is a question we are very passionate about. VETCBD is always sourced from California grown, organic marijuana. For a variety of reasons, we never use hemp. We have written a concise overview of the reasons why in our in our Resource Center.

Do you make any other products?

We make one product, VETCBD. It is thoroughly researched and carefully formulated by our veterinarian, Dr. Tim Shu. Recommended uses for VETCBD include: seizure control, pain, anxiety, arthritis, nausea, and loss of appetite.

Since VETCBD is made from marijuana, will my pet get “high”?

Definitely not! VETCBD is carefully formulated and researched by our veterinarian, Dr. Tim Shu. We use the full marijuana flower to make VETCBD because of the many medical benefits it provides. The small amount of THC in VETCBD provides additional therapeutic effect due to the entourage effect, but this small amount is not enough to get even the smallest cat or dog high. CBD is the main active ingredient, and CBD does not cause a high and is non-psychoactive.

What makes VETCBD different from other pet CBD products?

There are a few major differences. VETCBD was founded and is formulated specifically for pets by our veterinarian, Dr. Tim Shu. Since our product is a tincture, the dose is very specific for each patient depending on their weight, as developed by Dr. Shu. We use California grown, organic medical marijuana to make VETCBD. We strongly believe in the multitude of medical benefits that marijuana has over hemp.

Our team is strongly dedicated to education, research, and information. We are available by phone or email every day of the week to speak with you and answer specific questions you have regarding your pet.
